These kinds of rhetorical question invariably come down to marginalizing and minimizing the Islamofascist threat; implicitly comparing post-911 U.S. efforts at self-defense with the 911 attacks themselves; overtly attacking the president of the United States in his role as commander-in-chief; and implicitly seeking to disspirit the brave fighting American men and women who are standing for freedom in the Middle East.
